Apostle Abram Owusu Amoah, Leader and Founder of The Gentiles Revival Ministry (CHURCH), a religious charity registered in the UK aimed at propagating the Gospel of Christ and Charity Stars football Club (Ghana).
“I wish to use this Platform to first thank God for my life and the lives of everyone; particularly, my former school mates who I miss dearly and have not been in contact with for quite a long time. To those departed I pray that their souls be at peace with the Lord. I also thank God for the lives of the Founders of Facebook, who deserve our commendation for sharing their God-given talent with the world; a means of bringing mankind together to promote peace, love, knowledge and blessings.
Many of my mates wonder what became of that smallish boy nicknamed “Baby Pele” at school because of my soccer talent and also what my academic brilliance has turned out to be!
My educational aspirations ended abruptly in 1976 when I responded to the calling of the Lord and have since been evangelising and spreading the Word. In the wider world many know me as an Apostle and a Gospel Musician – the Composer and Producer of “Tie Odasane Tie Nyame Asem” Gospel Music hit in 1984.
But why the long silence in my Ministerial Work and Gospel Music making? Well in all things the Scripture says we should give “Thanks.”
To continue, I am happy to share with you the wisdom about “Life” and the need to “Thank God” because I see my story as not about myself but about my “Maker” – why He created me and indeed every one of us.
Oh life how precious it is! Without which nothing is possible.
How wonderful are the handworks of God? When we consider how He maintains this engine of life that beats through the heart non-stop beginning in the womb, through birth, childhood to adulthood! And finally the critical last breath when man faces the inevitable – death!
Unlike a vehicle, the engine of life needs no servicing if one leads a prudent lifestyle – taking care of our bodies that houses life by not choking the arteries through smoking, excess drinking, fatty meats and foods etc. that results in heart attacks!
Jesus dismissed Satan during his temptation with this quote –
“It is written, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”
This indicates that the human life have two components, the “Body” that dwells on physical food and the “Soul” that thrives by the “Word of God.”
Both are sustained by the Spirit of God.
But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
Jesus made reference to the “Body and Soul” when he taught his disciples about matters concerning persecution –
“And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”
He again during a teaching about life and salvation said – “For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” –
The Apostle Paul referred to the Soul as “The Inner or Inward Man.”
“That he would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man.”
“For I delight in the law of God after the inward man.” –
And also the Apostle John contributed to this topic in his epistle in –
(3 John vs. 2)
“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”
The above quote concludes that the human life is not complete without the wellbeing of the Soul. What is the role of the Soul? How does one relate to the Soul? How is it nourished?
Note that like any manufactured product that has a lifespan, the human life also has a span as explained in – (Ecclesiastes 3:2) “A time to be born, and a time to die……” and in (Job 7:1) – “Is there not an appointed time to man upon earth?……” therefore don’t die before your time is due! (Ecclesiastes 7:17) – “Be not over much wicked, neither be thou foolish: why shouldest thou die before thy time?” To be continued…………………………………………..
