Rapper Koo Ntakra can’t keep his cool after hearing his name being mentioned as one of the ‘Dada Bee’ rappers on Sarkodie’s trumpet song. The Koforidua based rapper in an interview argued that, he mostly doesn’t know why people like Don Itchi, who goes around claiming to be one of the good rappers in Ghana but would be missing anytime rappers are needed for a battle.
The heated argument started after Don Itchi on a radio interview blamed Sarkodie for putting ‘Dada Bees’ (soft rappers) on a song he did with other budding rappers (trumpet). According to him, he could have done better than most of the rappers he (Sarkodie) had on that song especially Pappy Kojo and Koo Ntakra.
Hearing this, Koo Ntakra, believed to be one of the finest rap artistes based in Koforidua is out with a reply Don Itchi deserves.
In an interview with www.flexgh.com, the MTN Hitmater winner explained that, it is laughable for Don Itchi to have come out with such an attack. To him, Sarkodie included him on that list because of his efforts and his in-depth knowledge in the rap business; hence, anybody who thinks he is a ‘Dada Bee’ rapper should rather work than to go about making noise.
“We are like thousand and one rappers in Ghana and what was so special about me that made Sarkodie chose me instead of him? If he still wants to prove his best, the beat is still there for him to prove to Ghanaians how good he thinks he is. It’s laughable if he should say I don’t qualify to be on that song. This is because, I was not on that song because of him. Rather, Sark chose me over him based on the fact that I am doper. Until he proves to Ghanaians, I am busy promoting my second album and videos with plans of doing some international songs this year,” he explained.
Koo Ntakra came to the limelight after winning the MTN Hitmaker season (2) in the year 2015. Though very young, he has become one of Ghana’s favourite rappers winning the ultimate at the Eastern Music Awards last year.
